Dariusz Beszczynski

My name's Darek Beszczynski. I'm 48 years old. I was born in Torun, at present I live in Lodz (Poland).

As a young boy I trained cycling. I was athletic, energetic, full of ideas for life, I had lots of friends around me. Music was my second passion so I was a DJ at disco clubs.

One evening, I had an accident on my way to the nightclub. My car failed- the wheel fell off, I had no chances of halting. I crashed a tree. Half a year later I was woken up from a coma. My parents told me the details of the accident. I had to bring to my mind who I am, learn to speak, write, walk, get back to life.

My memories and my dreams is all I have left from my early years. I had to modify them because I fully realize my handicaps. I have right-sided paresis and I'm unabled to take up work and exist normally. Thanks to intensive rehabilitation I could walk on my own again but that was not enough for me...
